YouTuber Emma Chamberlain returned to the Met Gala this year just months after she made her debut at the event in September.
Chamberlain, who is known for her vlog videos on YouTube, took to the Vogue interview stand at this year’s star-studded event once again as she chatted to the celeb attendees about their Met Gala looks.
Following her second appearance at the prestigious fashion spectacle, fans have shared how proud they are of the influencer as they look back on how far she has come since her YouTube days.
Just eight months after her Met Gala debut, Emma Chamberlain graced the Met red carpet a second time this week.
With this year’s event following an In America: An Anthology of Fashion theme, the influencer wowed in a two-piece Louis Vuitton look featuring a beige puffed sleeved crop top with a floor-length white skirt.
Chamberlain was also seen to go all out with her accessories as she donned a crown and choker style necklace, both of which were Cartier.
Fans soon got acquainted with the Louis Vuitton ambassador‘s look as Chamberlain once again took on interviewing duties for Vogue as she interviewed the event’s A-list attendees.
Reflecting on the influencer’s look, the official Louis Vuitton Instagram revealed that Chamberlain’s cropped top was an archival piece.
The post explained that as part of the luxury brand’s “commitment to circular creativity”, the piece featured in Nicolas Ghesquière’s fall-winter 2018 collection.
However, Chamberlain was not the only star to incorporate, an archived Louis Vuitton piece within their look as she was one of 14 celebs, including the likes of Gemma Chan, Emma Stone and Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas who all wore pieces from past collections.
Explaining the choice to feature past pieces in look’s for this year’s Met Gala, Ghesquière, who is Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of women’s collections, explained to Vogue: “Never has it been more important to show that creations should be made to last.”
